Cottage in the wilderness - in Espoo
OK 77’s club cottage OK-stugan is in the middle of the Nuuksio lake uplands, one of the greatest hiking and orienteering areas in Southern Finland. Part of Nuuksio is protected as a National Park. Nuuksio forests are dominated by bare rocky hills. The rocks descend vertically or step by step to damp gorges, which are dominated by moist forests, and spruce and pine mires. In the clear-watered ponds and lakes you can see a black-throated diver or even an osprey. The flying squirrel also lives in the aspens of the grove.
The peaceful and clean environment is not only perfect for orienteering trainings, but it also provides an excellent setting for meetings or company outings. In the surroundings of the cottage you can breath fresh air, orienteer (over 50 km² orienteering maps), hike and swim, pick berries and mushrooms and in winter ski cross-country (or downhill, 3 kilometres from the cottage), go ice-fishing or skate. As you may know, according to an ancient Nordic custom, there is a public right of access to nature. The cottage stands beside a sparkling brook and a cosy fireplace.
Camps
It is easy to organise a camp at our well-equipped club cottage. There are orienteering maps all around the cottage, and so many hiking trails and skiing tracks that you can choose a new route every day. Solvalla Sports Institute offers its services only a couple of kilometres away. We are happy to organise programme for your camp: orienteering trainings, adventure sports, - you name it.
Welcome to OK-Stugan!
